OK, so I watched Season 4 of Project Runway. What else can I do with the writers strike depriving me of new seasons of my favourite shows like Heroes, Pushing Daisies, House and Weeds?
So here I am comparing how vision and reality differs. I like looking at the sketches from Project Runway to see how the runway version pairs up against the original glint in the eye.
I must admit even at Episode I had my favourites. I liked Rami for his restrained sexiness and classical lines. I thought Christian's design was funky even if it was a little too 80s for me. I quite like Jack's feminine little dress for colour, freshness and comfort.
Of the three, I think Jack's runway piece was the most true to sketch. I especially liked how he paid attention to detail with the turquoise lining underneath the halter top. Nice ...
Rami's sketch was surprisingly mundane but therein lies his genius to transform mediocrity into understated glory. It's an awful photo but the garment moved and draped beautifully which is why it was the winning design.
